Update on Eddie Conway

Thank you friends and comrades for your love, support, and well wishes for Eddie. We are writing to let you know that he has made tremendous progress on the long road to recovery. He has left the hospital and is now in a subacute rehab facility where he is receiving the care he needs to get back on his feet. While the encephalitis was initially quite debilitating, Eddie has rebounded cognitively, and he has expressed gratitude for the support he received from so many of you while hospitalized. He was also very excited to hear the news that Sundiata Acoli is finally home with his family. We know many of you are eager to communicate with him, but we are asking folks to not flood him with calls and texts right now. Eddie is beginning to reach out to friends and family gradually.
